WIFE IN SHADOWS (2) by Sara Craven: Count Angelo Manzini needs a son to inherit his title, but for now he’s content to philander with a married woman. Wedding Elena Blake, a woman who lacks both looks and personality, simply to please his family is not something he’s inclined to do. That is, until he’s accidentally caught in her bed, believing she’s his mistress. Marriage is the only solution to avoid scandal and obtain the necessary financing for his clothing company expansion. A slow-moving convoluted plot with an overwhelming cast of characters and an unlikable hero make this one hard to finish.
