RT Rating

Fennell returns with another underwater adventure, her second story about the Tritone brothers. She's proving herself to be a solid storyteller, and this tale is an enjoyable and pleasant read.

Always bound by duty, Rod Tritone is given the task of finding and returning the long-lost daughter of Mer, who may be the salvation of his people.

Val has no idea that she is half Mer -- in fact, she can't even swim. She can't believe it when a gorgeous man claiming to live in the sea tells her she's a mermaid. However, things start getting dangerous when she's attacked and it becomes clear that someone doesn't want her to return to the wild blue under. (SOURCEBOOKS, Nov., 368 pp., $6.99)
