Book Review

Castle revisits the highlands of Scotland in her third MacInnes werewolves book, an enjoyable and highly entertaining tale. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it's clear that it's part of a series, and new readers may get a little lost. The budding romance between secondary characters almost steals the show and definitely leaves you wanting more.

Bastian an Morgaine has always been an outsider, first as the only boy raised in a tribe of women and, later, as the last ice mage left after a curse destroys his entire line.

Catrionna MacInnes is an outsider herself. Cut off from their werewolf heritage, Cat and her sisters travel to Scotland to discover who they are. Catrionna and Bastian find love and acceptance with each other, but will they be able to break the curse that threatens to put an end to their happiness? (SOURCEBOOKS, May, 384 pp., $7.99)
