The hilarious misadventures of Marissa and Dane are very enjoyable. Marissa is so nave that everything she does is comical to a fault. Dane can only follow after her and do damage control while trying his best to keep his paws off her. For readers who enjoy a good romantic comedy, this is a must read.

Marissa and Gillian Vanderson are best friends and sisters, spoiled and doted on by their wealthy parents after their older brother is kidnapped. Then Gillian dies in a motorcycle accident after sneaking out of the house late one evening.

Marissa vows to do everything she and Gillian had once planned. Eight years later, she gets her chance, when her parents are in Europe and her bodyguard is sick with the flu. Marissa immediately goes to the Paradise Club, where she meets Dane Sinclair, the substitute bartender, and immediately propositions him. Being the nice guy that he is, he realizes she's as innocent as a newborn babe, but what will he do about it?
