Two years after he's miraculously saved by a heart transplant, CEO Wade Harrison travels to Tribute, Texas, to check on his donor's family. Dixie McCormick runs a successful diner, and her sons have adjusted -- so, mission accomplished. But when Dixie mistakes him for a job applicant, Wade decides to stay awhile. He's soon hooked on small-town life -- and Dixie. But what happens when she learns who Wade is and why he's in town? Janis Reams Hudson begins Tribute, Texas with Winning Dixie (4). The story is an emotional minefield, whatever the reader's views on organ donation. As such, it packs quite a wallop, especially the ending.
