WINNING OVER THE RANCHER
WINNING OVER THE RANCHER (4) by Mary Brady: Widowed, pregnant and broke, KayLee Morgan travels from Southern California to Montana to design and build eco-cabins on a ranch for Baylor Doyle and his family. Once there, KayLee becomes as invested in the project that will save the Doyles from having to sell the ranch as the family is — especially when they take her in and treat her as one of their own. The sexual tension between KayLee and Baylor is palpable and realistically portrayed, in spite of KayLee’s advanced pregnancy. The way the couple’s relationship progresses is also quite sweet and the secondary characters are richly drawn.
