The Chance sisters are living a dream, and readers will be thrilled to be there with them. Gracie has created a wonderful cast of characters, from the sisters themselves to their benefactress and servants. Her plot may be tried and true, but the lively dialogue and the tender emotions compel readers to relish every moment of the developing romance.

Damaris Chance is living a wonderful life and, thus, is fearful of her coming out — especially since the Honorable Freddy Monkton-Coombs will  be chaperoning her. Freddy is drawn to the lovely Damaris, so then his mother begins pushing Freddy toward marriage he thinks a fake betrothal to Damaris will take care of the problem. Damaris agrees, and slowly they fall in love. As their secrets are revealed, their love is tested. Damaris will do whatever she must to free Freddy from guilt and bring his family together as he will help her heal from her dark past. (BERKLEY SENSATION, Apr., 320 pp., $7.99)
