This series starter is a light romp through a universe almost exactly like
our own (except for the inclusion of fairy godmothers, wizards and fairies). Although a bit light on romance, this story will appeal to fantasy fans and contemporary romance lovers alike.

When Kristin's godmothers tell her that they are really fairy godmothers (and she's one too), she only has minutes to get accustomed to the idea before the ladies are out the door. They leave her with few instructions and the handsome, if standoffish, wizard Tennyson Ritter. But Tennyson and Kristin will have their hands full keeping down a magical revolution -- if they can survive the death threats! (TOR, May, 348 pp., $6.99)
