WISHES AND STITCHES
Herron writes a classic love story of two likable characters fighting an attraction and a chemistry that’s evident to everyone except them. She delves into the histories of both of the protagonists, which allows readers to empathize with all the characters involved. The minor characters add a lot to this entertaining tale.
Naomi has stuck to the rules all of her life, until she has a one-night stand at a medical convention. When that one-night stand, Rig, becomes her new partner at her medical facility, she is constantly reminded of the one time she lost control. Rig has moved back to the small town to be with his family and has no desire to start up a relationship with his new partner, no matter how hot the sex was. But the two need each other more than they realize, both physically and emotionally. (MORROW, Oct., 400 pp., $13.99)
