Book Review

WITCH BLOOD
by Anya Bast

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance
Sensuality: HOT

RT Rating

Bast's witches pack a seriously sexy sizzle in their arsenal of weapons. This headstrong and emotionally damaged heroine leads with her heart, not her head, which results in clashes with the hero as well as some deadly menaces. Gritty danger and red-hot sensuality make this book and series smoking!

After her sister is horribly murdered by a demon called Boyle, Isabelle Novak goes on a vengeance quest. She doesn't find Boyle but manages to get her hands on warlock Stefan, whose cabal originally called the demon. Thomas Monahan, the head of the witches' coven, stops Isabelle from killing Stefan, since he knows they still need information from him if they're to defeat Boyle.

Although they're earth and water witches, the flames between Thomas and Isabelle are instant and intense. It rapidly becomes apparent that there's a pattern to Boyle's brutal slaying of witches, but what is he trying to accomplish? When Boyle shows an unnatural interest in Isabelle, she suspects she's the final piece in his plan. (BERKLEY SENSATION, Mar., 275 pp., $7.99)
