Book Review

WITCH WORLD
by Christopher Pike

Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal

RT Rating

Hooray, Christopher Pike is back! Fans, new and old, will enjoy this intricately plotted offering where the worldbuilding really shines. Pike can still write teens in a believable, yet aspirational, way. This one’s a winner.

Graduation is here, and Jessie and her friends are headed for an ill-advised weekend of debauchery in Las Vegas. Jessie’s wild BFF has invited Jessie’s ex, Jimmy, along for the ride. Jessie meets mysterious, older man Russ, who teaches her the game of 22. After things with Jimmy get rocky, Jessie gets in a cab headed for Russ … a cab that takes her far, far out of town, into another world entirely.
