Witch Wraith, Brooks’ final installment in the Dark Legacy of Shannara trilogy, is a novel that caps the suspense and close relationships with a believable ending that will satisfy series fans. The story takes the reader on a journey full of drama, tension and battles of all shapes and sizes that will enthrall readers and keep their hearts pounding. From beginning to end, Witch Wraith is full of surprises.

The walls of the Forbidding, the land where terrible demons of the past are imprisoned, are in danger of falling, if the Elcrys is not restored. Elf Arlingfant Elessedil must sacrifice her life and become the Elcrys if the Four Lands hope to remain safe. Meanwhile, Redden Ohmsford is imprisoned in the Forbidding with the Straken Lord, who intends to march his deadly army through holes in the walls and attack the Four Lands earlier than expected.
