WORDS SPOKEN TRUE
by Ann H. Gabhart

Genre: Inspirational, Historical Romance

RT Rating

Gabhart’s ability to transport readers into the world of newspaper writing in the 1850s is amazing. Her latest conveys the power of the written word, family secrets and the knowledge that the choices we want to make are not always the ones that happen in the end.

Adriane Darcy could not remember a time when she was not in her father’s newspaper office, the Tribune. It seems she was born with ink stains on her fingers. Blake Garrett works for the town’s other paper, the Herald, and believes that women don’t belong in this world of hard-edge writing. Adriane is attracted to Blake, but she knows he is the enemy and she is engaged to someone who will save the paper. When women of the night are being murdered, Adriane and Blake will need to work together to solve the crimes. Will they be able to put their differences aside to keep the city safe?
