This is a delightful day-in-the-life type of story about a quirky witch who gets herself into some crazy trouble. While the romance element is almost nonexistent, Frost entertains with an enchanting first-person point of view. Some may find the conclusion a bit anticlimactic, but it's still satisfying. Even non-witches will laugh and root for the heroine.

Tammy Jo gets fired and has a fender-bender on the way home. To top it all off, Edie, the family ghost who hangs out in her locket, is stolen.

Desperate to get Edie back before she emerges from the locket and disappears forever, Tammy Jo sets out to find out who took the trinket. She ropes her ex-husband, whom she still loves, and the sexy town witch, whom she's sworn to avoid at all costs, into helping her. Mayhem erupts, and soon werewolves are hunting her, vampires are moving in and innocent townspeople are conjuring up their dead spouses and falling prey to Tammy Jo's failed spells. Will Tammy Jo get Edie back in time? (BERKLEY, Feb., 298 pp., $14.00)
