Montana Territory,1882: Sally McClellen is frustrated by the delays she encounters on her journey to visit her sister. Mandy is about to deliver her latest child and Sally really needs to be there to help. Her traveling companions stop to admire the view, but then they are shot at by unknown gunmen. Her companions go down one by one, until only Sally is left and she goes over a cliff. Logan McKenzie is out to paint the landscape when he comes across a broken body.
