WYOMING PROMISES (4) by Kerri Mountain: Bridger Jamison discovers a dead man and brings the bones to Quiver Creek undertaker Lola Martin. Bridger soon takes a job bartending, and seeks to keep his mentally challenged brother under the town’s radar. When his boss recommends he build coffins for Lola, Bridger is happy for the work, but not so happy about the attraction he feels for her. Nothing can come of it — not just because of Bridger’s own responsibilities, but because his boss has made it clear that Lola is his. Mountain has created an intriguing romance with some mystery, danger and suspense involving a number of interesting characters. The hero’s realization he needs God’s help is nicely done.
