When Audrey Colby takes her son and runs away from her rich, abusive husband, Jonathan, it is lawyer Nicholas Wakefield who tracks her down to make sure she's fine--and ends up accidentally leading her husband straight to her. But when he kidnaps their son in order to get her to return, it's Nick who ends up saving her. Inglath Cooper's A Year and a Day (4) is very realistic. Her well-written story makes it easy to believe that even strong women can get stuck in bad relationships. Readers will be enthralled,
hoping Audrey makes it through OK.
