YUKON WEDDING (4) by Allie Pleiter: Treasure Creek, Alaska, 1898: Mack Tanner asks his best friend’s widow, Lana Bristow, to marry him. In this rough and rowdy place, he feels he needs to protect her. Lana soon realizes marriage to Mack may be for the best, and may help her finish what her late husband and Mack started — making a town out of the frozen land. Soon suspicious accidents start happening and Mack is concerned someone is trying to locate his hidden gold, using Lana as the map. This is a great love story with the Alaskan Gold Rush as background.
