Book Review

by Beth Williamson

Genre: Erotic Romance, Historical Erotic Romance

RT Rating

Williamson successfully captures the flavor of a traditional Old West town in her third entry in the Devils on Horseback series. Her characters leap off the pages as they wage the traditional battle of good versus evil.

Tanger, Texas, needs a sheriff, and newly sober Zeke Blackwood is the only candidate. The town council gives him one month to prove himself, and all he needs to do is stay away from the saloon and its women.

Naomi Tucker, the new girl in town, sells drinks, not herself. Unfortunately, after causing a brawl in the saloon, she becomes the first customer in the town's brand-new jail. Naomi and Zeke come
to a meeting of flesh but not the minds
as Zeke continues to struggle with his demons. Meanwhile, a slick newcomer restores the hotel and stirs the townspeople against Zeke. All but his closest friends want him to resign once it's discovered he's broken the terms of his employment. (SAMHAINPUBLISHING.COM, dl $5.50)
