The 2009 Melinda Helfer Fairy Godmother Award
For Outstanding Contribution to the Romance Genre
(The Melinda Helfer Award is named in honor of RT's esteemed reviewer and
dear friend.)
To honor Melinda's memory and to celebrate her love for authors and the
romance genre, we have created an annual award to be given in her name.
The 2009 recipient is Kathe Robin for her 27 years of dedication to the historical romance genre as an RT BOOK
REVIEWS senior reviewer and as a devoted advocate for the authors. Her ability to recall any of the nearly 10,000 books

she is a part of it.
