SUCCUBUS HEAT
by Richelle Mead

RT Rating:
Category: PARANORMAL ROMANCE
Publisher: KENSINGTON
Published: June 2009
Type: Urban Fantasy

Mead's Succubus series continues with more drama and intrigue among the denizens of Seattle. This witty and amusing story highlights the difficulties of advancement within the corporate bureaucracy of hell. The plot drags a little with too many red herrings, and relationships are left unresolved, but the ending leaves the door open for more.

Summary: Good-hearted succubus Georgina doesn't know whom to trust when she can't get any straight answers, and is nudged in different directions by various immortals. A wacko Satanist cult is staging weird events and Jerome, the archdemon of Seattle, has disappeared -- triggering the lapse of the immortal abilities of all his underlings.

Georgina appears to be the only one concerned with trying to find Jerome amid the infighting over who may take his place. What's more, Georgina's relationship with Seth, her ex, may be heating up now that she doesn't have to worry about her succubus powers endangering him. (KENSINGTON, Jun., 352 pp. $15.00)
