Get To Know Stephanie:
Would you rather go to the library or buy a book? I live in a small Brooklyn apartment with limited shelf space, so I always take books I'm interested in out of the library before buying them. I'm lucky to have access to two fantastic library systems (the New York Public Library and the Brooklyn Public Library) with websites where I can request anything that's caught my fancy and have it delivered to the most convenient branch. If my selection is worthy of my keeper shelf, that's when I head to one of my favorite indie bookstores to buy a copy.
Which fictional character would you want to hang out with? My 10-year-old self would never forgive me if I picked anyone but Anne Shirley. And honestly, 30-something me still thinks we'd have a blast.
What is one of your favorite book covers? I have a soft spot for elaborate paper cuts, like the cover of John Connolly's The Book of Lost Things, and atmospheric, object-based covers like the pitted, damaged mirror on Tana French's The Likeness.
