Dear Reader,

In The Coincidence Of Callie And Kayden and The Redemption Of Callie And Kayden, the main character, Callie, loves to write. It’s something we have in common, which is probably obvious, however, I don’t just love to write stories. I also love to write down my thoughts, like Callie does in her journal. I did this a lot, especially when I was a teenager. It was an easy way to clear my head and figure out how I was feeling about certain things in my life.

I don’t do it quite as often now, but I do make countless notes that I leave all over the house, usually about ideas for stories or notes about stories that I’m working on. I usually won’t leave my house without a piece of paper and a pen on hand. Sometimes I even wake up in the middle of the night and scribble down my ideas, which usually end up being barely legible.

Now Kayden, the other main character, loves football. This is a sport I barely know anything about. However, my husband is a football fanatic and was my go-to person for questions about the sport. There were quite a few times when I’d wander upstairs to ask random questions about football, like which positions were what. The first time he was utterly confused because I’d never shown that much interest in it before. I had to explain to him why and he was a little surprised, but of course helped me out and happily answered my questions.
