Its been a busy year in the Cabot household! In addition to my historical romances, I am now writing books for younger readers as well. I am the author of three Young Adult series, including The Princess Diaries, which I write under the name Meg Cabot. A feature-length film, directed by Garry Marshall and starring Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway, was released by Disney this past summer, on the first book in my Princess Diaries series.

Princess Diaries 2, Princess In the Spotlight, was published in June 2001. In April 2002, be sure to look for Princess Diaries 3, PRINCESS IN LOVE. My two other YA series, which I write under the name Jenny Carroll, are The Mediator and 1-800-WHERE-R-YOU, and both have new installments being released soonThe Mediator 4, Darkest Hour, will be released in December 2001, and 1-800-WHERE-R-YOU 3, SAFE HOUSE, due out in March 2002. Both The Mediator and 1-800-WHERE-R-YOU have been optioned for television.

But just because Im also writing books for teens doesnt mean Im abandoning my historical romance writing career. Far from it! This month, my second book from Pockets Sonnet line (and sixth historical romance) will be released: EDUCATING CAROLINE, a humorous romance set in Victorian England about a young woman who finds her fianci in the arms of another and
determines to win him back. Along the way, she discovers a few things about himand herself! For a sample chapter, log onto
