Rebecca York's "sensational" werewolf trilogy

When Berkley decided it needed an exciting, established author to launch its new romance imprint, Berkley Sensation, editor Cindy Hwang knew to look no further than series favorite Rebecca York (aka Ruth Glick). Originally purchasing York's KILLING MOON to spear-head what the publisher had hoped would be a dark paranormal line, Berkley then folded its many imprints into Sensation, which is set to release four books a month in genres such as paranormal, contemporary and romantic suspense.

"As I understand it," explains York, "the new Sensation program gives Berkley more freedom to pick and choose good books without worrying so much about making a quota." And to build anticipation, York's Moon trilogy, starting this month with KILLING MOON, will be released every other month, followed by EDGE OF THE MOON in August 2003 and concluding with WITCHING MOON in October.

"The hero of KILLING MOON is one of my favorites," the author says. "He's P.I. Ross Marshall. And he's also a werewolf who uses his wolf senses to solve crimes. Out of necessity, Ross is a loner. He comes from a dysfunctional family, and in my werewolf universe, only the male offspring
survive. Ross watched his mother grieve for her lost children. He watched his violent father take out his aggressions on his family. And he has vowed never to subject any woman to the miserable life his mom lived."
