The house of Kings trilogy is a spin-off from my popular unforgettable series— which I frequently referred to as my accidental series. I must confess that it is solely because of the prodding of my editor for me to continue one character after another that this series even exists. Fast-forward eight years, I’m introducing a new branch in the Hinton family tree: the Kings. The sexy King brothers, Eamon, Xavier and Jeremey, own a successful bachelor-party-planning business and a string of upscale clubs across the country. What could be better than living the single life in some of the world's most glamorous cities?

Finding a woman worth giving it up for…

There are many appealing challenges for me as a writer with this trio. The main one being the unconventional occupation and trying to figure out just what type of women would it take to get such committed bachelors to hand over their dog leashes. The second challenge was pushing the envelope between hot and erotic. And my third and last test is dealing with the narrator of the story Quentin Hinton. My inbox has been flooded for years with readers wanting Q to finally get his own story. The problem was that I had made him the ultimate antihero in previous books that I needed to show his rehabilitation. Although this was a very tall order and I’m not going to lie and say that I didn’t spend a few evenings nursing a few bottles wine and or begging my fickle muse to hook me up so that all of this would work.

Now after turning myself into a borderline alcoholic with a dash of schizophrenia, the response from the first book, King’s Passion, has been overwhelmingly positive. Book two, King’s Promise will hit the shelves June 21st. In it we find the promise of ecstasy…

Bartender Cheryl Shepherd has just done the unthinkable—she has shot down Xavier King. Repeatedly. Now the handsome club owner is on a mission to seduce her. And when he finally succeeds, he’s blown away by their wild chemistry. For a notorious player, a sexy, confident woman like Cheryl is a risky proposition.

Xavier has no idea how right he is. An undercover cop, Cheryl is really investigating alleged criminal activity in his club. Yet every time she’s along with her boss, Cheryl starts to lose her head along with all her inhibitions. But when the case grows dangerous, can Xavier be trusted with her heart… and her life?

I’m currently at work on the third book King’s Pleasure that with be out in December 2011. I can tell you right now that it’s going to be difficult saying goodbye to these three brothers but, if I know my editor, it’s likely that will see these handsome Kings again…someday.
