Patti Berg Will Have Everyone LOOKING FOR A HERO

Everyone loves a fairy tale, and most of us have dreamed at one time or another of a hero who will come to our rescue in times of need. Well, dream no more! Morgan Black Heart Farrell is a larger-than-life hero who's ready to step out of the pages of my newest Avon contemporary, Looking For A Hero, and into your life. Morgan is the kind of man they just don't make anymore—strong, fearless in the face of danger, tender, and very, very sexy.

While attending the 1997 RWA conference in Orlando, Florida, I took a wonderful day trip to St. Augustine. I may write contemporaries, but I love history, and I felt as if I'd been transported back in time as I wandered the old city streets. When I stepped across the threshold of a cozy little bookstore, I was immediately drawn to the skull and crossbones on a book called Pirates at the far side of the room. The moment I picked up that book, inspiration hit.

I fell in love with Morgan Black Heart Farrell. I think you will, too, as you read his rollicking adventure that begins when a hurricane whisks him from his 18th century galleon and tosses him into the arms of a 20th century siren.

Kate Cameron never expected a mysterious man to appear on her island—much less one who wields a cutlass and looks like he washed onshore from a production of The Pirates of Penzance. Its been a long time since the young widow had a man in her life, and the last thing she expects is to fall for a dangerous, sexy looking stranger. But Kate soon realizes that maybe, just maybe, Morgans heart isn't as black as the history books say. In fact, he just might be the hero shes looking for.

If you love a sexy pirate who's a hero to die for, if you love adventure and danger, grab a copy of Looking For A Hero.
