Dear Readers,

When my first few books were published, I did a lot of book signings. Sometimes they were two hours spent twiddling my thumbs, but I always found it fun and rewarding to meet readers and talk about books. As I increased my writing schedule in order to produce at least two books a year and struggled to balance the faster work pace with the activities of three young children, book signings moved down on my list of priorities.

But I missed meeting readers.

So when I realized I was scheduled to visit friends near Knoxville, Tennessee during the release of my new Eternity Springs novel, a crazy idea took root in my mind.

The book is titled Miracle Road. What if instead of flying from my home in Texas to Tennessee, I drove and made it a true road trip? A Miracle Road trip. I could stop and sign stock in bookstores along the way, hopefully have a scheduled signing or two, and meet readers in person rather than simply online for a change.

My husband thought I was crazy, but the notion wouldn’t go away. So, before I actually looked at a map and plotted how many road miles it would involve, I contacted my agent and publisher, and committed to my Miracle Road trip.

Call me crazy, but I'm in the mood for an adventure.

I am still in the process of firming up the schedule, but I will be visiting Barnes & Noble stores, Books-A-Million stores, independent bookstores, and a couple of libraries who heard about my trip and invited me to speak. My route takes me through Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Texas. If you live in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Chickamauga, Atlanta, Gadsden, Birmingham, Tupelo, Memphis, Decatur, Huntsville, Nashville, Tyler, Shreveport, Little Rock, Hot Springs, Texarkana, or towns along the way, there’s a good chance I’ll be headed your way. Please, come out and say hi!

I will be blogging about my adventures–or misadventures–along the way on my blog at, and there will be prizes involved, so if my route doesn’t come your way, you will still have a way to participate.

I’ll be on my Miracle Road Trip from November 6th to the 16th. The schedule of my stops will be posted a on soon as it’s finalized.

I hope you’ll share the craziness with me!
