I love Christmas. It's my favorite time of the year, and for me, it starts the day after Halloween.

Now, I've always wanted to write a Christmas story, so I was super excited when the timing of Reseph's book (both in the Lords of Deliverance/Demonica world and the real world) coincided with my (and Reseph's) favorite holiday. I could finally write a Christmas story!

Okay, sure, Rogue Rider is a Christmas story like Die Hard is a Christmas movie. But still...there's snow, decorations, Christmas trees, hot cocoa, and presents.

I had a lot of fun with Rogue Rider, the fourth book in the Lords of Deliverance series, and I'll bet that the four Horsemen, Ares, Reseph, Limos, and Thanatos could have even more fun at a holiday party.

I can picture it now: They're at Thanatos's castle, and his stallion, Styx, is tossing around a peppermint-scented Jolly Ball that Than got him for Christmas. (Yes, they make those. I have one for my own hellhound.)

Limos is at the bar, mixing a batch of spiced apple margaritas while Arik and Ares toss a football across the great room. Hal, Cara's hellhound, tries to intercept as Cara tries to keep the hound and the toddler Ramreel kid she and Ares adopted from crashing into the 20-foot Christmas tree.

Jillian is fawning over Thanatos and Regan's son, Logan, as Regan brings her first roasted turkey from the kitchen. She's only recently learned how to cook, so cooking Christmas dinner all by herself is a major achievement.

Reseph, as usual, is in charge of the music, and as Winter Wonderland fades away, he leaps onto one of the benches (where he'd set up the karaoke machine,) and belts out a powerful rendition of George Strait's "Jingle Bell Rock."

Outside, a snowstorm kicks up, and the massive castle doors crash open to reveal Reaver, a huge sack of presents over his shoulder like some heavenly Santa. They all sit down to eat — after tossing Hal and the new hellhound pup their very own turkey.

Raw turkey. Complete with feathers.

Ah, Christmas at the Horsemen household. Maybe someday I'll give you the whole story, all the juicy details about the entire night they have planned.

But first, you gotta see how it all starts...and that's with Rogue Rider. I hope you enjoy Reseph's story, and I truly wish you a very happy holiday season!
