2001 is turning out to be an amazing year. Due to a combination of the scheduling fairies at play, a growing backlist and working my ever-so-delicate fingers to the bone, I have a total of 12 releases on the shelves this year. Im excited beyond words. (Okay, not beyond words, because here I am, producing words.) But still wildly thrilled.
My first two books are in January, so by the time you read this they may be a little difficult to find. However, they are both worth the effort! In addition to Book 2 of my ongoing Lone Star Canyon series for Silhouette Special EditionUnexpectedly Expectingan earlier Special Edition,
The Bodyguard and Ms. Jones, is being reissued, along with a fabulous Suzanne Brockmann book. The 2-in-1 package is entitled Her Guardian.
This March, youll find Wife in Disguise on the shelves. This is Book 3 of my Lone Star Canyon series for Special Edition. In the nanosecond before a truck slams into Josie Scotts car, she doesnt see her life flash before
her eyes. Instead, she finds herself thinking about her ex-husband, Del. A year later, still healing and with a very different appearance, she returns to find closure. When Del doesnt recognize her, Josie realizes shes been given a very unique second chance.
Is there any indulgence more perfect than a romance novel and a smooth, sweet piece of chocolate? Okay, maybe there are one or two slightly more perfect things, but a book and chocolate are pretty much a sure thing. Coming in May 2001 is my very first single title contemporary romance from Pocket Books. WEET SUCCESS blends love, chocolate and sex into one exciting package. Ali Thomas is out to save the world, one struggle at a time. Shes created a nearly perfect world that starts falling apart when mysterious Matt Baker walks into her life. He reminds her that chocolate cant solve every problem (say it isnt so!) and that some matters are best dealt with from the heart.
June sees the release of SHELTER IN A SOLDIER'S ARMS, a Silhouette Special Edition, followed by a reissue of my Harlequin Historical, Wild West Wife, in July. In August, I have a novella in the Montana Maverick anthology, Big Sky Grooms.
September brings a very special project, a 2-in-1 release for Harlequin Historicals called SHOTGUN GROOMS. I wrote this with gifted author Maureen Child, aka Kathleen Kane. We promise you plenty of humor, sensuality and heartwarming emotion. Several years ago, I wrote a series for Silhouette Special Edition called Hometown Heartbreakers that received a very gratifying response. But everyone wanted Austins book, Marriage on Demand, and its been extremely difficult to find. Well, in October 2001, Silhouette is reissuing this story. Enjoy!
Next (insert drum roll sound here)more sheiks! Based on the response I have received on my Desert Rogue series, I feel as if I dont actually have to say anything else. In November of 2001, my next Silhouette Special Edition sheik book will be out: THE SHEIK AND THE RUNAWAY PRINCESS. I have just two things to say about that: slave bracelets and a bathtub scene. Okay, two more things: an incredible prince and a secret city. It gives me shivers just thinking about it.
Finally, in December, my next single title romance, A MONTH IN MARRIAGEVILLE, will be released. Would you live with a stranger for a month in exchange for a chance at a million dollars? (More on this one later.) Last but not least, a Silhouette Special Edition for their Montana Mavericks: Home for the Holiday series.
