This year some of our favorite romance authors from across the sub-genres are attending BEA. Today were able to chat with some fan-favorite authors to find out what it is about their newest heroes that will make readers swoon.
Rachel Vincent is excited about her paranormal September release Blood Bound. She says that readers will love Cam Caballero because he will do anything to be with his heroine and protect her. She also warns readers not to skip to the last page ... hmm, sounds like we are in for something exciting!
Elin Hilderbrand gave us a peek inside of her mainstream novel, Silver Girl, and told us that readers should expect to fall in love with the main hero of the story, because this handsome sailor spends his summers tooling around tropical waters. This laid-back hero has us dreaming of hot summer days and long summer nights!
Heather Graham talked about her next release Sacred Evil which will be out in August. She says that, as a detective, her hero Jude Crosby has seen just about everything on the streets of Manhattan. The best word to describe him, Heather says, is "jaded." And who doesn't love a dark bad boy in need of a good woman?
Lori Foster discussed the heroes in her new romantic suspense series, Edge of Honor. She says that each of them are uber-protective, but still kind and sensitive guys. "They kick butt and get the job done." Just the kind of man we like!
Gena Showalter told us a bit about her next Lords of the Underworld paranormal romance, The Darkest Surrender, that releases in October. The hero this time is Strider who is possessed by the demon of Defeat, which means this Lord has to be the best at everything and we mean everything. "When he goes all out, he goes all out," Gena says. She also admits that this includes lovemaking. "This book has absolutely the hottest love scene I have ever written!"
Well, we certainly can't wait to meet all of these great guys. But until these books hit shelves, you can check out our Romance Page for more stories of love. And for all the action at BEA you can check out yesterday's spotlight on technology and tomorrow we will be focusing on the YA authors at BEA!
