Billionaire BDSM Dom Confesses to Giant Teddy Bear Collection

The 28-year-old CEO of the popular Silicon Valley tech startup Bit Blanket, Marshall Banks, confessed yesterday via Twitter that he’s been collecting teddy bears since he was seven.

“I’m not hiding any longer, I have a collection of 256 teddies in my bedroom,” the Tweet read, along with a photo of Banks’s impressive collection. A follow-up Tweet stated: “My favorite is Captain Cuddlebuttons. My grammy gave him to me for Christmas.”

The Tweets surprised many, as Banks is much more known for his ruthless business acumen — and his hardcore BDSM lifestyle.

“I mean, whips and chains I expected, but rows upon rows of teddy bears, with their beady little eyes staring at you?” Potential conquest and PR professional Kristen Manning, sighed. “A whipping post would have been way less alarming.”

Banks, who has a net worth of $3.2 billion, founded Bit Blanket while he was still in college, famously refusing to remove his $300 pair of Gucci sunglasses as his company went public — even though he was indoors meeting with potential investors.

After making his BDSM lifestyle public last year, once again via social media, by posting a Facebook invite to be his sub at San Francisco’s premier local BDSM club, the Kinky Pickle, teddy disclosure was a no brainer for Banks. “This is California! No one cares. Plus, I can buy and sell almost anyone, so what’re they going to do,” Banks told us in an exclusive interview.

Banks concluded the interview by picking up a teddy, complete with leash and ball gag, and walking out.
