Caught On The Cover: December 2012

This month several of our favorite celebrities were "caught on cover", their likenesses spotted on some December new releases. Check out who we found:

Fans of Dollhouse’s Eliza Dushku are used to seeing her adopt different personalities as a “doll” on the once-popular science fiction television series. But are they ready to see the usually tough star in a gorgeous frou-frou style dress? If so, they should check out the cover of Jillian Stone’s latest!

If you did a double take while looking at the heroine of The Importance of Being Wicked, you’re not alone. It looks as though the queen bee of Manhattan’s Upper West Side, Gossip Girl’s Blair Waldrof as played by actress Leighton Meester, has found a new roost to rule in this historical.

This month’s Caught on Cover is feeling the Joss Whedon love! Not only did we spot Eliza Dushku, but we also came across Charisma Carpenter (Buffy’s Cordelia) enjoying a winter wonderland. And while the cover of Dorothy Love’s Every Prefect Gift is Christmas spectacular, is anyone else craving a return to California’s ever-besieged Sunnydale?

The last time we saw Brittany Spears dance, she was being taught how to bring it ‘Gangnam Style’ by rapper Psy on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Now it seems as though she’s learning to Waltz with a Stranger. Not bad for a comeback!

This totally looks like Freaks and Geeks star Busy Phillips (aka Kim Kelly) to us. And if we squint a little bit, maybe that guy she’s lounging on could be Kim’s on-again, off-again beau Daniel, who was played by actor/experimental artist James Franco. Hey, one can dream!

With Showtime’s Weeds coming to an end next year, Mary-Louise Parker’s going to need a new role after playing everyone’s favorite pot-selling mom. And here it looks like she’s popped up as a nurse to all creatures that go bump in the night! Which, coincidentally, sounds prefect for Showtime.

At this point, it’d probably be more difficult to not catch Angelina Jolie on a cover. But at least with this one, she’s not surrounded by rumors of her impending marriage (or placed opposite a sidebar about Jen). Eliza Lloyd’s heroine is rocking the Tomb Raider look, and it’s still pretty fierce!
