Caught On The Cover: May 2013

This month several of our favorite celebrities were "caught on cover", their likenesses spotted on some May new releases. Check out who we found:

Is it hot in here or is it just Taylor Kinney, the actor who plays Chicago Fire’s smolderingly handsome Lieutenant Kelly Severide? Besides making an appearance in our dreams, he seems to have sauntered half-naked onto the cover of Samantha Grace’s Lady Vivian Defies a Duke. Does his real-life lady, Lady Gaga, know about this?

Scottish actress and classic beauty Georgia King, star of the recently cancelled NBC series The New Normal, first stepped into the spotlight as Rosamond Oliver, a character in the BBC adaptation of Jane Eyre. So it’s no wonder that her lookalike on the cover of Lorraine Heath’s newest historical really rocks that sumptuous blue gown.

Taken by Storm? That’s how we felt after viewing the face emerging from the darkness on the cover of Kelli Maine’s novel. It looks a bit like heartthrob Joseph Gordon-Levitt, he of (500) Days of Summer fame. And there’s just something about his cute face that makes us root for his happy ending.

Rizzoli & Isles star Angie Harmon may have been discovered on a plane by David Hasselhoff (take a second to hum the Baywatch theme song, you know you want to), but we’ve discovered her on the cover of Lynette Eason’s latest romantic suspense.

Something about Caitlin Kittredge’s Dark Days makes us want to break out into the twist. Probably because the heroine’s sleek black bob reminds us of Uma Thurman and her famous dance scene in Pulp Fiction. Oh, yes, twisting time is here.

Remember Natalie Portman before she took on the role of the lady who turns into a crazy swan ballerina? What happened to that sweet girl? No, she’s not gone — the fresh-faced image of a young Natalie has just happened to pop up recently on Cecily White's Prophecy Girl. This just reminds us that the beautiful Black Swan Oscar winner never was an ugly duckling.

There’s nothing grim about the cover of M.L. Brennan’s Generation V, unless you’re talking about how the hero looks like NBC’s Grimm star, David Giuntoli. And he’s a broodingly hot vampire? Yes, please. We’ll just be throwing out our garlic, pouring holy water down the drain and laying out the welcome mat in preparation.
