It is time for round three of the Dark Days of Supernatural giveaway, your chance to win a tote bag full of seven new and upcoming paranormal YA novels. The winner of this week's giveaway will receive the newest novels from Aprilynne Pike, Ellen Schreiber, Kim Harrison, and four new talents in the genre: Veronica Roth, Amy Plum, Josephine Angelini and Tara Hudson.
To enter in last week's Dark Days of Supernatural Giveaway I asked you guys to tell me what type of paranormal creature you'd like to be (or power you'd like to have). Adam Silvera is the winner of the second round for his thoughtful response:
The power of flight - and not just because it's cool, awesome, and other related adjectives, but because (assuming I have full control), it's a method of being safe. There's a certain freedom with existing somewhere that others aren't, high above, and being safe from the city and all its dangers below. While you can't always run away from your problems, there's an alluring premise of flying away from them temporarily.
Not to mention, how many people can say they lounged below clouds while reading their favorite books without being in a plane? Not many? Didn't think so!
However, this was a really hard choice because you guys all submitted some great answers. But you've got three more chances to win these seven books, so keep your thinking caps on. This week I want you to answer this question, who is your paranormal evil nemesis?
You are welcome to work off of your answer about what type of paranormal creature you were. For example, if I were sticking with my dolphin-like sonar powers, my nemesis might be a coalition of evil sea creatures run by a shark with the ability of mind-control and a taste for plucky were-dolphin descendants! But I'm going to opt for something a little bit different that has nothing to do with my last answer.
I'm more than a little creeped out by some of the fallen angels out there, so I am going to use that as my springboard. (And in the process, probably create something that will haunt my nightmares for the next few weeks!) My archenemy is ... a giant humanoid moth with creepy fluttery wings and those icky antennae. It's trying to hunt me down and put me in a coma-inducing chrysalis so that eventually I can be baby humanoid-moth food. And the icing on this bad news for me cake? Baby humanoid moths will only eat living creatures. (Ick, ick, ick, i can practically feel them fluttering all over me right now!)
Okay guys, now it's your turn — tell me "who is your evil paranormal nemesis?" to be entered in this week's round of the Dark Days of Supernatural Giveaway. (Or you can email your comment here with the subject line "Dark Days of Supernatural Giveaway Round 3") The winner will be announced on May 23 when we will also tell you how to enter next week's paranormal YA giveaway!
