We loved last year’s Edge of Oblivion, the third book in J.T. Geissinger’s Night Prowler series, a paranormal series full of ancient forces, danger and hot, hot romance. So imagine our excitement for the fourth installment, Edge of Darkness, releasing in December from Montlake Romance. But how can we stand the wait, you ask? Well, we have an exclusive look at the cover and official blurb, which is more than enough to help tide us over until December! Ready to take a look? We'll get to the cover, but first, let's learn what this story is all about ...

Six years after a shocking tragedy left her emotionally and physically scarred, Ember Jones lives a life of quiet isolation in Barcelona. Determined to keep her troubled past a secret, she keeps her head down and her heart locked up tight. Until the day a beautiful, mysterious stranger walks into her life, and her carefully controlled world is shattered forever.

Christian McLoughlin is unlike anyone Ember has ever met. Wealthy, cultured, and utterly charismatic, he also has dark secrets of his own. They succumb to the undeniable pull between them and embark on a passionate affair, but things turn explosive when the truth about Christian and the reason he came to Barcelona is exposed. As their dark pasts collide, the two unlikely lovers find themselves caught in a web of danger and deceit that neither of them might survive.

The Edge of Darkness, where hunter becomes hunted, no one can be trusted, and love is the most dangerous game of them all.

And now, for the grand reveal...

We absolutely love this cover! Most paranormal romance books feature dark color schemes and images, but Edge of Darkness utilizes a golden palette that makes the overall image pop and will definitely help the book stand out from others in the genre.

And what does the author think? She says, “There are so many things I love about this cover, it’s hard to know where to start! Of course, Christian is beautiful, and the hood/scarf around his face adds a regal touch.” We also found his eyes and the hieroglyphics eye-catching and demanding of attention — and Geissinger agrees! “This subtle reminder of how the main character is tied to ancient Egypt is ingenious, and adds a feeling of mystery and that supernatural vibe that is so important to the story. All in all, I think it’s my favorite cover of all my books, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have some really amazing covers.”

If you’re like us and can’t wait to read Edge of Darkness, then mark your calendars for December 10 and start counting the days!
