Five On Friday: Newly Announced Inspirational Book Deals
There are so many new book deals being made in the inspirational market that we’ve decided to devote a new special column to them. Here are five of this week's most inspiring inspirational book deals — just after they’ve been announced!
Jordyn Redwood is gearing up to release another hard-hitting medical read next summer. In Lillie’s Ashes, a doctor becomes the victim of a serial rapist and points the finger at a co-worker, only to find that DNA proves her colleague is innocent.
Daughter of a conflicted war veteran, the heroine of Meg Moseley’s Undo the Dark must return home to face her egotistical father and make amends with her past. But instead of finding closure, she uncovers dark family secrets. No news on the release date yet, but this juicy family drama has us waiting in anticipation!
Leslie Gould fuses Amish fiction with classic Shakespeare with the first book in her new The Courtships of Lancaster County series. Channeling Taming of the Shrew, Courting Cate follows a young girl whose father won't let her marry until her older sister weds. Joining Julia and Minding Molly will follow this series starter, and we can’t wait to see what other Shakespearian stories inspire Gould!
Set during Prince Albert’s Great Exhibition of 1851, Kay Ducas’ The Great Exhibition tells the story of an American girl who must choose between a prosperous viscount, whose bounty may save her family, and the poverty-stricken man of her dreams.
After being deserted at the altar, the heroine of Susan Meissner’s Blue Heart Blessed builds a new life for herself, starting with opening her own second-hand wedding gown shop. But can this love-burned former bride part with her own gown? We’re looking forward to picking up a copy of this tale and will keep you posted on the release date!
And here’s a Friday Freebie:
In her upcoming non-fic release, former Newsweek reporter Susan Katz explores the challenges of raising an interfaith family in The Joy of Being Both: Embracing Two Religions in One Interfaith Family. We are very curious as to how this author will handle this sensitive topic.
