Five On Friday: Newly Announced Inspirational Book Deals
There are so many new book deals being made in the inspirational market that we’ve decided to devote a new special column to them. Here are five of this week's most inspiring inspirational book deals — just after they’ve been announced!
Publishing soon is Siri Mitchell’s The Hello Girl, the story of a girl who rebels against her affluent family and gets a working class job at a call center. There she stumbles upon a conversation that puts lives in danger. There’s no publication date yet, but The Hello Girl is part of a three-book deal, so our fingers are crossed that there will be more great thrillers from Mitchell.
God has plans for the young heroine of Sandra Robbins’ Angel of the Cove. The protagonist's dreams of a nursing career in New York are thwarted when it is revealed that she must move to an isolated valley in the Smokey Mountains, a far cry from the life she thought she would have.
Naomi Rawlings’ upcoming historical piece Her Journey’s End reminds readers to never underestimate the kindness of strangers. Set during the French Revolution, a titled lady who lost her family in the fighting attempts to flee the country, only to be brutally assaulted and left for dead. She is then rescued by a peasant who risks his life to save her. Although no date has been set for the release of this new read, we will be sure to pick up a box of tissues before we start into this book as it is sure to be a tear-jerker.
A top-secret government agent with superhuman strength tackles assignments that take her from NASCAR tracks to The White House in Suzanne Hartmann’s The Race That Lies Before Us. But when this operative becomes the target of terrorists, it seems that the only way that she can get out of their crosshairs is by dying. This thrilling new novel is set to be released in 2012.
Status cannot separate a wealthy heiress and her dashing — but poor — hero in Julie Lessman’s upcoming Cousins McClare series. Dare to Dream, Dare to Love, and Dare to Hope all promise to explore the glamour and the gutter of 1930s San Francisco.
