PIQUING OUR CURIOSITY

Paranormal Romance - If you love Coreene Callahan’s Dragonfury series, you won’t want to miss the author's upcoming supernatural love story Warrior’s Revenge about a woman fighting to escape death when she discovers a monstrous man is after her. Instead of running, she captures his heart — and discovers he’s an important figure who could further complicate her life. Release date: TBA.

Graphic Novel - Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files series has already gotten the graphic novel treatment, and now it’s time for the author’s Cinder Spires books, beginning with series starter The Aeronaut’s Windlass, to follow suit. The interesting thing about this deal? This steampunk novel hasn’t even been published yet and the graphic novel adaptation is already in the works! It must be quite the read.

Mainstream Fiction - The past and present collide in Kate Lord Brown’s The Perfume Garden, in which a modern young London perfumer must deal with her family’s secrets — and a very interested gentleman — after she inherits her mother’s abandoned Valencia villa, which has been neglected since the Spanish Civil War. Release date: TBA.

Fantasy - Steve Barnes returns to speculative fiction with Twelve Days, an apocalyptic tale in which government authorities and other powerful groups must investigate the deaths of many important people — the victims of a cult that believes it has dangerous supernatural abilities. But the clock is ticking, because in less than two weeks the world could change permanently.
