Romantic Suspense - In Edie Harris’s Blamed, the first in her Blood Money romantic suspense series, a retired assassin and a rakish British spy cross paths and romance ensues. The series will focus on five siblings as they trek across the world and face danger while falling in love. Look for the first book later this year.

Contemporary Romance - Readers will go on a wild ride with Krista Ashe’s Vicious Cycle trilogy, which stars the Hell’s Raiders motorcycle gang. The first book will feature a member whose five-year-old daughter shows up out of the blue and the kindergarten teacher who falls for both father and child.

PIQUING OUR INTEREST

Contemporary Romance - Literary superstar Meg Cabot will have three new books releasing in the near future. In Boy Is Back, a senior moving consultant is hired by a bad boy she used to date to help save his parents’ reputation. The book will be told partly through text messages and emails. The second book, Remembrance, will be the seventh book in the Mediator series and the third, Royal Wedding, is the highly anticipated eleventh Princess Diaries installment.

Young Adult - Rich with Afro-Caribbean mythology and set within Brooklyn street life, Daniel Jose Older’s Shadowshaper stars a teenage girl who discovers a magical world she can access through the murals she paints. But her life takes a dangerous turn when a villainous anthropologist shows up.

Young Adult - Dragons are people, too! Or so claims Sarah Nicolas’s upcoming novel, Dragons Are People, Too, which stars a weredragon who also doubles as a US government agent. When one of her missions goes off track and results in the possible exposure of her race, she’ll have to muster all her strength and courage to save her family and friends. Look for this story next year.
