NEW SERIES ALERTS
Paranormal Romance - It’s MMA-style fighting for the demons in Carrie Lofty’s upcoming trilogy, Dragon Kings. These paranormal creatures must battle each other for the right to procreate, but when a Cage Warrior falls for his trainee, will they be able to change the system ... and rescue her son from a sadistic scientist?
Contemporary Romance - Everything’s gone to the dogs in Lacey Baker’s Sweetland series. The books follow six Labrador puppies and the siblings who now own them. After inheriting their grandmother’s B&B, these brothers and sisters do their best to avoid the town’s rumor mill — and raise their new pups — while each finding true love. No date has been set for the series debut.
Woman’s Fiction - Ever wish you had a fun routine with friends? Why not take your cue from the military widows of Marilyn Pappano’s new series? They all meet for The Thursday Night Margarita Club. The series starter, A Hero’s Return, promises to include all the trappings of friendship, good conversation and strong drinks! Release date TBA.
Young Adult - Paranormal romance author Michelle Rowen will be making her YA debut under the pen name Morgan Rhodes for Rebel Spring. The book kicks off the author’s Falling Kingdoms fantasy series that follows a teenage queen who must lead her nation through a war. As avid George R.R. Martin fans, we love that this sounds like a PG-13 version of his series A Song of Ice and Fire, or as the TV series it spawned, A Game of Thrones.
RETURNING FAVORITE SERIES

Series Romance - We are betting that Harlequin Intrigue fans will love Dangerous Memories by Angi Morgan. The tale features a woman who has repressed memories and the U.S. Marshal determined to solve her parents’ murders and help his heroine regain her past. Publication date TBA.
Contemporary Romance - When three sisters from New Hampshire uncover their mother’s memoir of her passionate affair, each re-thinks her own love life. Soon these sisters are taking chances and making choices that will help them find true happiness in More than You Know by Nan Rossiter. Readers can expect to see this tale in stores in Spring 2013.
Mystery - What would you do if your boyfriend dumped you just before you were both supposed to head to England? If you’re author Mary Lou Kirwin’s upcoming heroine, a small-town Midwestern librarian, you take the trip anyway and find everything your heart desired ... and a dead body! Want to find out what comes next? You’ll have to pick up your own copy of The Killer Librarian.
Paranormal - Caridad Pineiro has crafted a paranormal crime-solving duo that is sure to please. Born to Die will feature an FBI agent and her vampire boyfriend. And while it won’t be released until January 2013, but we can’t wait to see what types of dark and dangerous creatures Pineiro throws at the pair.
EXCITING DEBUT AUTHORS
Historical Fiction - With The Marlowe Papers Ros Barber poses an answer to the question “What really happened to the famous playwright (and spy) Christopher Marlowe?” This novel-in-verse is penned as his memoir and we can’t wait to find out if Barber’s re-telling ends with Marlowe dying in a pub brawl or secretly writing Shakespeare’s plays.
Thriller - Daniel Erickson, the hero of Eyre Price’s debut, The Blues Highway Blues, must track clues from the evolution of music from blues to grunge in order to rescue his son. All the while Daniel must stay one step ahead of a Russian mobster and his vicious hit men. This debut will be in stores in July 2012 and it certainly sounds like a summer blockbuster to us!
Biography - S.T. Joshi has compiled a comprehensive look at the life of one of modern-day science fiction’s most beloved figures, H.P. Lovecraft. With photos, documents and illustrations, H.P. The story was originally self-published as Swept, the new version of the tale will be on shelves in May 2013.
Historical Fiction - It’s not just graphic novel adaptations for Anne Rice’s Christ The Lord series. The author’s Christ The Lord: Out of Egypt will be coming to the big screen. Cyrus Nowrasteh, who wrote The Path to 9/11 and The Stoning of Soraya M. will be co-adapting and directing the piece.
Middle Grade - Author Gordon Korman’s 2008 novel Schooled follows Capricorn Anderson, a home schooled child of hippies who must make the transition to public middle school after growing up in a hippie commune. But will he be able to adjust to living with his new guidance councilor, her cranky daughter and make friends with the classmates who think he’s a weirdo?
