Science Fiction - When a murder occurs at a time-traveling laboratory, is it wrong to (mis)use the space-time continuum to solve the crime? Readers will be able to answer this question and more when Neve Maslakovic’s series starter, The Far-Time Incident, hits shelves.

Contemporary Romance - Love is often found in the most unusual places. But getting your happily-ever-after while working in a locked psych ward — that’s a new one for us! Thankfully, this decidedly convoluted plot of a newbie nurse and her domineering colleague in The Disorderly, will be handled by none other than talented author Cara McKenna (aka Meg Maguire). Readers will be able to find this titillating tale on sale Winter 2013.

Historical Fiction - Alyson Richman’s Dragonfly follows a talented young cellist who becomes involved in the Italian Resistance during WWI. The heroine must leave her family and her home, but thankfully is able to make a new friend along the way.

Series Romance - A Navy SEAL finds a good dose of adventure off the battlefield in Angi Morgan’s Double Take when he goes home to Texas to help save his family ranch. But that’s not the only thing at stake — this hero must also help prove his identical twin’s innocence in a kidnapping case. All while falling in love!

Young Adult - A young teen’s reputation is at stake when he faces a life-altering decision in Sarah Tregay’s Fan Art. A high school senior is struggling to conceal his sexual preferences and must muster the courage to come out to his best friend and crush. But a controversial short story and a senior prank gone wrong make this student’s attempt at hiding his identity much more difficult than he ever imagined.

Paranormal Romance - Get ready for Kendra Leigh Castle’s new trilogy about a group of fallen angels, starting with Sympathy for the Demon. When a mortal woman is on the run from a group of dangerous vampires, a hunky exiled angel may be her only hope for evading the outlaw bloodsuckers.

Mainstream Fiction - Jodi Picoult fans take note — this author’s next three books will find a new home at Ballantine starting with her 2014 release. Says the author of the change in publishers: "I'm energized by their enthusiasm and their plan for my future ... I am also indebted to the wonderful friends I've made at Atria/Emily Bestler Books, whose hard work and dedication built me the wide readership I have today."

Mystery - Two girls guilty of murder never thought that they’d cross paths again, until a dead body brings them together years later. Alex Markwood’s The Wicked Girls sounds like a chilling tale we won’t want to miss!

Contemporary Romance - Prepare to load up your e-reader with Aubrie Dionne’s upcoming read My Maestro. In the story, a concert violinist is trying to save her town’s orchestra from shutting down, but must work with a new conductor from Berlin in order to do so. Fresh out of an awful relationship, can this conductor figure out how to make music with the violinist who is slowly working her way into his heart?
