Forewords - Buzz Before The Books

With our new column, Forewords, we let readers know the latest book news about some of the web team's most-anticipated upcoming releases across the genres — just as the projects are announced!


Paranormal - Stephanie Tyler begins a new paranormal series, which will feature two groups of werewolves and the problems they have with werehunters and witches. No word on a release date yet, but the first book in the series is titled Dire Needs.


Series - A seemingly sensible executive assistant quits her job and seduces her former boss in Cat Schield’s 2012 release, Winning a Millionaire.

Fantasy - Jay Lake’s contemporary dark fantasy novella about extreme body modification will be published in 2011. Prime Books will release the story, which is titled Love in the Time of Metal and Flesh. 


Inspirational - In July 2011, the heroine of author DiAnn Mills' Under A Desert Sky will travel from New York to New Mexico. In the southwest, she becomes involved with a Navajo man who views her, at first, as a spoiled rich girl. 


Paranormal - First published by Medallion Press, Lynda Hilburn's Kismet Knight series including Vampire Shrink, Dark Harvest and an untitled third book will be republished by Silver Oak. The series follows a psychologist who treats vampires with emotional problems.

Series - Zandria Munson's third and fourth books in her Nocturne series Hearts of Stone will be released from Harlequin. This series features a family facing an ancient curse.


Romance - Mary Wine takes readers into a secret society of intellectuals who control information that could change the world's power structure in her new series. This three book deal from Sourcebooks starts with Steam Guardians: The Crystal Spirit

Thriller - Elanor Dymott’s debut novel Every Contact Leaves a Trace begins with a woman’s murder at Oxford college and follows her young husband as he attempts to uncover just what happened.

Science Fiction - John Joseph Adams' anthology titled Armored takes an in-depth look at all types of armored suits suitable for combat. 

Young Adult - In the summer of 2012 Morgan Matson will publish The Summer of Second Chances which focuses on an ordinary middle child that must cope with extraodinary siblings, a vacation that makes her face her past and her father’s battle with cancer.
