Harlequin Makes Waves At BEA 2013

On the evening of Wednesday, May 29, Harlequin was in full-force at BookExpo America. The publisher's titles were showcased at not one, but two parties in Manhattan. The first party was the Harlequin High Tea at the historic Woolworth Building. Then, Harlequin and Cosmopolitan magazine co-hosted the launch of their new e-book imprint, Cosmo Red Hot Reads, featuring one of today's hottest romance authors: Sylvia Day. If you missed the events, or could only make one, read on for photos and details of all the fun that was had!

Harlequin editors and bloggers gathered for High Tea to discuss the hottest upcoming reads which included a paranormal series from Diana Palmer, Bella Andre's Sullivan series and Jason Mott's science fiction/fantasy novel The Returned.

Angela James, Carina Press' Editorial Director, was on hand to talk about great e-book releases including Stephanie Tyler's New Adult dystopian series starter Defiance.

Sweet treats and roses decorated the room.

And free books were handed out!


Across town, at the Hearst Building, publishing industry insiders gathered at the Cosmo offices to celebrate the upcoming imprint Cosmo Red Hot Reads.


Delightful munchies and gift bags were available.


Cosmopolitan's Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles discussed the new joint imprint with Cosmo and Harlequin Publishing.


Author Sylvia Day, Cosmo Red Hot Reads launch author talked about her book Afterburn which releases August 15.
