September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness month and Avon Books wants to be sure that romance readers “K.I.S.S. and Teal” to help conquer this disease. That is “K.I.S.S.”, or “Know the Important Signs and Symptoms” and teal — the color of the ovarian cancer support movement. We were surprised to learn that ovarian cancer is not only the fifth most deadly cancer for women, but that the survival rate is much lower for those diagnosed with this cancer as opposed to others. So we’re thrilled that Avon Books is taking a stand against the disease — and helping readers get involved.

To kick off “K.I.S.S. and Teal” Avon Books made a $25,000 donation to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. And their commitment to helping raise funds (and national awareness) doesn’t stop there, Avon has created an easy way for readers to get involved in the fight against this deadly disease.

Between now and February 28, 2012, the imprint will donate twenty-five cents from the sale of each book (in traditional and e-formats) that has the “K.I.S.S. and Teal” logo on it. In September these books are: Viscount Breckenridge to the Rescue by Stephanie Laurens, The Seduction of Scandal by Cathy Maxwell, The Deed by Lynsay Sands, A Night to Surrender by Tessa Dare, In the Arms of a Marquess by Katharine Ashe, One Night in London by Caroline Linden and Star Crossed Seduction by Jenny Brown.

Today RT's Morgan chats with the fabulous Stephanie Laurens about "K.I.S.S. and Teal", the four symptoms of ovarian cancer she wants all of readers to know and why the author is a staunch supporter of the cause (we're betting you can't guess the reason). And then don't miss a special glimpse at the next Cynster book in today's RT exclusive author interview.
