With a new year comes resolutions, new beginnings and best of all ... new books! This month we'll be sharing thirteen titles across the genres we're looking forward to in 2013, continuing with contemporary romance releases! So just in case your TBR list wasn't already a mile long, here are a dozen (plus one!) contemporary romance titles we're anticipating in 2013:

Crazy Thing Called Love by Molly O'Keefe

Releases January 2013

Molly O’Keefe was one of the breakout contemporary authors of 2012. After years of writing series length romances the full-length (and fully hot) Can’t Buy Me Love was released in July. The first thing that got our attention was Luc, the sexy sports star hero, but it was the flawed heroine Tara Jean Sweet, the gold digger with a heart of gold, that brought down the house. Then in August, O’Keefe showed readers that you Can’t Hurry Love, especially between a sulky socialite and a hunky rancher. At the end of this month, O’Keefe is releasing the third book in her Crooked Creek series with another tale of complicated love this time featuring Madelyn, a picture perfect news anchor, and her bad boy ex-husband Billy. Let the games begin!

Crystal Cove by Lisa Kleypas

Releases February 2013

Historical. Contemporary. Paranormal. It doesn’t matter the genre, if Lisa Kleypas’ name is on the cover, we are buying the book! And this fan favorite author’s latest series, set in Friday Harbor, has yet to let us down. In the upcoming release, Justine Hoffman has a comfortable life on the island, but she wants love. So it is too bad a spell hangs over her head that stops her from finding her soul mate. But before this story can head into that Disney princess territory, hero Jason Black makes an appearance. While he may not be Prince Charming, Jason does stand by Justine while she fights her own battles and proves herself stronger than a misguided spell.

The Best Man by Kristan Higgins

Releases February 2013

Even if he is sexy-as-hell, Faith Holland has zero interest in seeing Levi Cooper, her former fiancé's best friend. After all, Levi had a hand in breaking up her wedding. Okay, so maybe it was in her best interest not to get married. And maybe her fiancé was not the right man for her. But really, who wants to face a reminder of her jilting? Certainly not this heroine. Then again, is there anything that proves you have moved on faster than dating the instrument of your wedding’s destruction? Oh, Kristan Higgins, nobody writes a complicated relationship better than you!

The Heart of A Hero by Janet Chapman

Releases March 2013

Janet Chapman can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary while making even the most outrageous situation feel real. These are just two of the many, many reasons why we love this author. And her Spellbound Falls series, chock full of sorcerers, time travel, single parents and needy in-laws is the perfect vehicle for showcasing Chapman’s amazing talents. With The Heart of a Hero releasing soon, we are sure to get a perfect mix of both reality and the supernatural as Julia Campbell, a trouble-prone resort employee, must be saved over and over again by Atlantian security specialist Nicholas.

The Wanderer by Robyn Carr

Releases March 2013

While we literally could not love Virgin River more (anyone up for a trip to Jack’s Bar?) we are still incredibly excited that Robyn Carr is creating a whole new town for readers to visit. Thunder Point, Oregon has oodles of beautiful, uncharted land but this may change when outsider Hank Cooper unexpectedly finds himself in possession of some beachfront property. Will he sell the land to the highest bidder for development, or will the town’s rugged charm (not to mention local singleton Sarah Dupre) have Hank calling the small town home?

Too Hot To Handle by Victoria Dahl

Releases March 2013

Victoria Dahl never fails to bring the heat. Whether she is writing about a bad girl turned good, or bad boy turned badder boy, her stories are hot, hot, hot. So we know that Merry and Shane in her upcoming release will steam up the bedroom … eventually. First this couple has to work through some serious issues, mainly concerning Shane’s plan to sabotage Merry’s latest business project.

Starting Now by Debbie Macomber

Releases April 2013

Heartwarming is the only word that properly describes Debbie Macomber’s writing. Sitting down with one of her sweet reads is like a giant hug for the heart. And we are ready to be enfolded into Debbie’s next story, Starting Now. While there is a definite romance thread that runs throughout the book, the most intriguing part of this story is the unshakable bonds that are formed between the women who meet at the local knitting store, A Good Yarn.

Love Irresistibly by Julie James

Releases April 2013

If we click our heels together three times, we don’t want to go home, we want to step into a Julie James novel! Wealthy, educated, glamorous people living exciting lives. What could be better? How about a healthy dose of lust turning to love. Is it any wonder that we can't wait for James' next release Love Irresistibly which features a football star turned Assistant U.S. Attorney and a successful businesswoman who work on bringing down a corrupt state senator.

Own the Wind by Kristen Ashley

Releases April 2013

Kristen Ashley’s books can be polarizing. While the grit and hard-living world introduced in the Dream Man series can be difficult at times to take in, there is no denying the absolutely mesmerizing power of the author’s characters. The Chaos Motorcycle Club is returning in April with Ashley’s spin-off series starter Own the Wind. Since we are already in love with heroine Tabitha and hero Shy, first introduced in last year’s Motorcycle Man, we are more than ready to jump on our choppers and ride along for another steamy KA read.

Run to You by Rachel Gibson

Releases April 2013

Other than the release date and title, we know exactly zilch about Rachel Gibson’s next book. But as a three-time nominee for RT’s Career Achievement in Contemporary Romance, we will make the prediction now that Run To You is going to be another winner in a long line of Gibson goodness. And if the author’s previous books are anything to go by, the heroine’s sass factor will be a 10 out of 10 and the hero’s hotness factor will rate just as high.

It Had to be You by Jill Shalvis

Releases May 2013

Is it just us or does Jill Shalvis’ Lucky Harbor series just keep getting better and better? Maybe it is because readers have gotten to know small town life up close and personal. Or maybe it is the increasingly quirky love stories between two fun, interesting people that keep us coming back for more. Either way, we are expecting some great things from series book seven, It Had To Be You, because when one wrongfully accused criminal and a local police detective hook up, sparks are guaranteed to fly!

The Chocolate Touch by Laura Florand

Releases July 2013

Author Laura Florand started out this year right — with 2013’s first RT Editors’ Seal of Excellence win for best book of January for The Chocolate Kiss. We were absolutely enchanted by this tale’s sumptuous descriptions of yummy chocolate treats. And our mouth is watering to know that we will soon be able to get our hands on another book in this series. Details about The Chocolate Touch have not been released, but we are betting this upcoming book will be set in Paris and feature a love story as decadent as the sweetest confection.

Hope Flames by Jaci Burton

Releases September 2013

Jaci Burton is releasing a new series this fall with Hope Flames. This story will introduce Emma Burnett and Luke McCormack a couple that tries (oh, do they try) to keep their hearts, and hands, to themselves. While Burton is best known for her erotic romance tales, we are looking forward to the promise of a sweeter contemporary series from the author since we are certain that it will contain the snappy dialogue and clever characters that Burton writes so well.
