Part(y)ing Thoughts: A Night Of Scottish Delight!

Tonight the Clan McFae, a magical author collective, helped us channel the aura of days gone by with their Magical Scottish Fling. We partied like it was 1622, as booklovers turned out in their Scottish best (complete with brogues). There were bagpipes playing, kilts swirling, and more than a few lovely ladies all dressed up for Highland goodness. The evening began with a costume party that gave us a chance to “ohh” and “ahh” over everyone’s stylish garb, but it wasn’t long before the music came on and we were all filling up the dance floor!

The Clan McFae: Amanda McIntyre, Sahara Kelly, R.G. Alexander, Catherine Asaro, Eden Bradley (aka Eve Berlin), Kathleen Grieve, Kim Killion, Cathy Matuszak, Liddy Midnight, Janet Miller (aka Cricket Starr), Sharon Page, Andrew Peterson, James Rollins, Susanne Saville, Faith V. Smith

The costume competition brought out the kilts

We also got to meet a homemade "Nessie"

This reader's wingspan was over 7 feet wide!

And this reader's wings were tattooed (temporarily) onto her back

Authors J.A. Konrath and Blake Crouch showed us their "guns"

And Highlander cover models showed us their swords

The Clan McFae brought the Highlands to life in glorious style, and it was a wonderful way to end a busy, fun-filled day! Check back bright and early tomorrow for more 2012 RT Booklovers Convention coverage! And be sure to follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook for even more convention photos and news.
