BLOG UPDATE 10/13/2011: We've announced a preliminary schedule for the 2012 RT Booklovers Convention. You can check out this year's workshops and panels at our Convention homepage or by taking a look at our Convention Overview. Find out what's in store during our Reader Program, our Writers' Programs — such our Genre Panels, Hands On and Specialty workshops — and don't miss the first look at the author's who will be attending this year's Giant Book Fair on Saturday!
The 2012 RT BOOKLOVERS CONVENTION will be held from April 11th-15th in a city we've never visited before: Chicago. The convention will take place at the fabulous Hyatt Regency O'Hare. We are looking forward to heading back to the Midwest and will bringing you more updates soon.
Remember you can always find more information about all of the action at the RT BOOKLOVERS CONVENTION on our site here. We can't wait to see you in Chicago and be sure to mark your calendars for next year's convention in the Windy City!

I got so excited to see that next year's convention will be in Chicago. It is one of my favorite cities and I just got back from a wonderful week there with my family. Now I have a terrific reason to go back next spring!

I am so excited about the convention. It will be my first. I am flying in from Glendale, AZ (a suburb of Phoenix)and can't wait. I've never been to Chicago but my husband has agreed to let me fly there as a birthday gift. He knows how much I read and that I just found out that my current hero, J.R. Ward, is going to be there signing books. I've read all her books but never gave it thought that I would ever get to actually meet her in public. Now if I can just hold on for another approximately six months!!!

The weather in Chicago in April

As for weather in Chicago.... can be ANYTHING.. but go for cold and rainy. Anywehre from 40-60 degrees, but if we get a warm front it can get up to the mid 70s....so be prepared and bring a jacket and umbrella. :)

I cannot even begin to say how excited I am about this! Every year I have wanted to go, but have been unable with little kids at home. 2012 it will be in my hometown! I am exstatic!
