I admit it, I love to judge a book by its cover! And I know I’m not the only one. So each week when Harlequin reveals the first look at the art of upcoming series romances on Facebook, well, you can bet that I’m there. This week Harlequin posted some of the upcoming August 2012 books that readers can soon get their hands on. Take a look at my top three picks as I snapshot of the new series romances that are now in my TBR pile!

Puppy Love In Thunder Canyon by Christyne Butler

Imprint: Harlequin Special Edition

The Book In A Blurb: Pet therapist Annabel Cates and the sexy orthopedic surgeon Dr. Thomas North may seem like they’ve got nothing in common but from the amount of time they’ve been spending together, we bet this Thunder Canyon couple isn’t just bonding over the cute dogs on the cover.

My First Impression: Puppy love is right! I adore that tiny puppy and if a man as yummy as the Dr. North model came bearing a baby dog, well, one thing is for certain, I’d say yes to whatever he asked.

The Secrets She Carried by Lynne Graham

Imprint: Harlequin Presents

The Book In A Blurb: Erin and Christophe have a history, and not the good kind. Their affair ended with him throwing her out onto the street. But when he walks into her workplace as her new client, is he just there for buisness or does he want what he thinks she stole years ago?

My First Impression: I bet that those secrets are of the baby variety, but I can’t wait until this couple squares off in a high-powered battle of wits. From the handsome and tux’ed hero to the sweeping background, I get the sense that it’ll have the trappings of the luxe life I only dream — and read — about. But can’t you just feel that heat from that sunset soaking your skin?

Montana Bride by Jillian Hart

Imprint: Harlequin Historical

The Book In A Blurb: Widow Willa is “with child” and without funds, a precarious situation for any woman, not to mention for a mail-order bride. But will the Montana blacksmith who ordered her be this woman’s prince charming?

My First Impression: This is my favorite cover of the bunch. I’m such a fiend for historical love stories and let’s spend a moment on how fantastic her hair looks. I would pay a million dollars to get my ‘do looking so deliciously romantic. Plus that sexy groom? Well, clearly there’s something to be said for the Montana air!
