Video Interview: Diana Peterfreund

Diana Peterfreund writes novels across the YA genre, from contemporary to fantasy to dystopian, but they're all stories bound together by strong heroines. Her latest series puts a futuristic twist on classic literature. For Darkness Shows the Stars (based on Persuasion by Jane Austen) and the upcoming Across a Star-Swept Sea (based on The Scarlet Pimpernel) are companion stories, one about a technology-rich society and the other completely shuns all technology. We caught up with the author during the NYC Teen Author Fest and chatted about both of these novels, plus the paperback release of For Darkness, which has an extra epilogue written especially for fans who wanted some kissing in the story! The author also shares some details about Across a Star-Swept Sea, which hits shelves October 15.
